Promotional products above all other forms of advertising offer longevity. This has been proven time and time again. You do not need a massive budget to start and the results will keep showing for many months to come; this by far out-stretches instant advertising such as television or radio. But how can you make the promotional products you choose to have the most "bang for the buck"?
To send the most powerful message to your audience you need to tailor them directly to their wants, needs and tastes. You need to know your audience. There would be no point sending promotional chocolates to the clients in your slimming club! Promotional products can be fun and exciting; you want to move emotion in your audience so they remember you and are likely to think of you in the future.
It is very easy when coming up with a promotional plan to lose sight of the message we are trying to convey. Make sure you keep this at the forefront of your mind at all times. Firstly you need to think of who you are trying to reach; 1- existing customers, 2 - potential prospects or 3 - hard working employees.
If we take an exhibition as an example we can look at the types of gifts available. For this our aim is looking at potential clients. We want to stand out from the crowd, make people remember us over all others. A novel idea is the promotional gift of fortune cookies. These can't but amuse, you can choose to have your message printed on the inside of the cookie, a marvel for any onlooker and everybody loves a freebie. What about a novelty stress ball? With so many shapes to choose from you can be sure to find one in keeping with your company's theme and will be so useful for your prospects.
From the above example a lot many of them may already be using some of those beauty products so it would help to combine a few items, may be add a silk scarf or discount coupons on those products or service.
Just mailing a gift hamper may not do the work, so you can make sure they don't forget you, why not send them regular text's or emails on tips on skin care during summer (if that is the season) or a reminder to take benefit of the discounted products. These little gestures will always be appreciated.
So, remember to plan our gifts in advance so that they are relevant and prudent. Rewards and recognition must be awarded to those who deserve it truly. This will encourage the corporate work force and make the organization more successful. It also created unity and harmony for everyone at work knowing that hard work will not go unnoticed and unrewarded. |
